The table manufacturer faced challenges in managing information of custom orders received from the clients. The company’s average response time to customer inquiries was 3-4 days. Thus, to uplift the customer’s shopping experience, the client wanted to speed up sales orders processing by automating design configuration, they searched for a DriveWorks partner and deploy an interactive online configurator.
Approach
The stainless steel furniture manufacturer approached Hitech Engineering Services to develop an online configurator using DriveWorks. Our DriveWorks experts created an SQL database of design intelligence, customization features, and developed versatile master models in SolidWorks.
Design intelligence in the models was captured for customization in DriveWorks and the database was integrated with the customer data through a secure login page at the beginning. It offered a secure and personalized space for each customer and enabled resuming design customization from where they last left.
Also, as the login needed credentials, customers’ data was safe and the privacy of models and other information was secure. Hitech teams used the DriveWorks database to eliminate any third-party system as all stakeholders had access to complete information for the product through DriveWorks Live module.
Engineers equipped the algorithms of DriveWorks to send emails to customers with sales quotes and models along with invoice.
